  1. Cinderella played a club show in the Twin Cities last weekend (Firehouse opened). I had heard Tom Kiefer’s voice was shot, but that night he sounded great… a few rough spots toward the end, but overall pretty good.

The show included a great Spinal Tap moment. Three or four songs in, a black curtain at the back of the stage dropped to reveal a second black curtain with a huge Cinderella logo in silver and purple. About five or six songs later, the Cinderella logo curtain dropped to reveal another black curtain with the same Cinderella logo… this time only in silver. What the hell was the point of that? Hey… look! We have a second Cinderella logo curtain here just in case we lose the first one. Very odd.

We’ve got third row tickets for Poison (Firehouse opening again) at the Minnesota State Fair at the end of August. I wish American Heartbreak was opening instead. That would be a great pairing.

  2. heehee, good to hear talk about Poison!
Poison is originally from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania… 11 miles from my hometown (where i am now living, again), so i can assure ya that Brett Michael is not from the American South. although, he does/did have a home in Florida near Sebastian (about 30 miles or so from where i lived in Florida).
We still luv Poison here in south-central Pennsylvania and are very proud of our local-band-who-made-the-bigtime! next time ya talk to Ricky Rockett, ask him if he remembers playing weird-ass places like The Rainbow Roller Rink in the early days before Poison took the giant risk of heading out west to L.A. to make the rocker-dream come true.

and, Michael, thanks for taking the big risk to break from the Morning Zoo format and playing Thin Lizzy to end RnRGS! 🙂

btw, try to have Casey do more guest appearances on RnRGS… he’s great!!
