  1. wow! the Nuge on RnRGS! way too awesome! i don’t agree with Nugent’s politics and i find him to be pretty offensive, but he is definitely one helluva guitarist. it’s cool to hear him say he digs Steve Vai & Joe Satriani (2 musicians whom i admire and have had the honor of meeting). Satriani & Vai are so on the other end of the socio/politics meter from Nugent that i find it fascinating that Nuge admires them. but, i guess it goes to show that music has no boundaries and supercedes politics, bigotry, etc.
    and, it’s Joe Bonamassa whose name Nuge was trying to remember. Bonamassa is quite a talent. i saw him open for Peter Frampton a couple of years ago. he was so good that i ran out and bought his albums after the show. check out Joe Bonamassa’s bio, it’s rather impressive, especially for such a young guy.

    except for the ridiculous and annoying Podshow radio bullshit bits, this is an excellent show, Michael. i still cannot believe you got the Nuge! that’s big stuff. btw, did you ask him if he remembers being chased into his hotel room by you and your buddy (wasn’t it your friend from Florida, NonreverseBird)?

    btw, looking forward to hearing your INXS interviews, too 🙂

  2. i just listened to the Nuge interview, again….. man, what a wealth of guitar-lore in this conversation between to real, albeit dfferent, geeks brought together by talking of what they know and love. amazing.
    lmao, and, Nugent ain’t much bothered by Michael’s enthusiatic i’m-a-huge-fan-let-me-interject interview style, is he? :p

  10. Fucking awesome interview, Mike. I have listened to it 3 times now just to hear the insane ID. The Madman is absolutely a genius on the guitar. Keep up the good work and great interviews. I don’t know if you can top this one.
