ROSE TATTOO guitarist Pete Wells passed away today after a long battle with prostate cancer. The 58-year-old guitarist, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2002, had been undergoing treatment, which had caused him to stand aside from touring with ROSE TATTOO.
I reposted an interview I did with him a year ago for you to hear. This guys was one of the greatest slide players of all time, in my opinion, and a class act.

Oh ! that new makes me sad…I hope he will find great musicians in the other dimension…
Pete Wells rocked! Rose Tattoo have been a big influence on me as a musician and an all-round rocker. Pete’s made a great contribution to Aussie rock history. Keep on riffing Pete!
How incredibly sad. I remember the interview you did with him. He came across as such a gracious and gentle person.
I hope the last year of his life was a peaceful one.
may Pete Wells rest in peace
Thank you for reposting this podcast. Pete was the most intelligent and kind man. He obviously had a great influence over many people all over the world. We wish him a peaceful life after this life on Earth.
Death is on a roll as of late. Just as I find out my good friend Nikki Sudden dies now I hear of this. My heart is with all of those who love Pete. May there be open arms waiting for you on the other side Pete. We all miss and love you. Here’s to you mate.
God has strengthened his band with a great slide guitarist….
