  4. It was a funny interview. Constantine sounded easy going. Also if he was gay he wouldn’t admit it, because he may lose some of his fan base.

  7. Hey, thanks for having Constantine on the show today! It’s good to see that he’s got so many things on the burner since AI ended. He has eclectic music tastes; I will be interested in seeing what kind of music he ends up recording on his solo album. I hope the TV show flies. He’s a natural on camera.

    Shame on you for trying to make him badmouth Scott and Anthony, though. It isn’t *their* fault America went temporarily deaf for a day. 🙂

  12. Personally, I think the guy is an ok singer. I know lot’s of the ladies like him a lot. I just can’t get past that horrible butt chin. I think if he gets it fixed, he’ll do just fine. I wonder if he likes Judy Garland

  16. It was a good interview, but I find it funny. That everyone is sucking this guy’s ass, when Butler has interview some great musician’s. The Pete Way interview was killer. The Glen Matlock one and the Alex Kane were really good. I can’t even remember all of them but they were way better musician`he’ll probably ever be. Constantine sounds like he’s gonna have a good career. But please the man hasn’t done shit yet! Hell I wouldn’t even consider him that great of a rocker yet! Keep the killer Rock & Roll and interview’s coming.

  18. Was it really necessary to bash Anthony ? Obviously he has to have some talent to make it to #4. Just because he is not a rock-n-roll guy, does not mean that he can’t sing. There are different styles of music, you know, and obviously he has plenty of fans who voted for him. And shame on Constantine for not defending and for making fun of his “little brother” (as he used to describe Anthony). Nice way to start your career – by backstabbing your friends. I thought Constantine was a nice guy – but I guess a little fame went to his head and all the decency went out the window.

  25. What a bliss to listen to Constantine speaking. He speaks and laughs just as beautifully as he sings. Thank you. It seems people didn’t get him, which is a shame. He didn’t bash nobody. He seemed to be in agreement with Michael. Only seemed to be, maybe to please the DJ, I don’t know for sure. Michael bashed Scott and Anthony. Constantine didn’t say ” I agree with you, they both sucks, nothing like that. He only didn’t defend them. Not the right occasion for that. Constantine has suffered very with DJs who calls him names after saying good bye. Now he is sort of “playing the game”, know what I mean? And…how come these supposed fans forget all the good things he have already said about everybody in the show? He even voted for Anthony. Gosh, you jump into conclusion, and judge too fast. Please, listen with your hearts and read between the lines if you want to be fair. As for asking if he was gay, it was indeed a stupid question, as Michael himself admitted. However, it’s nothing to be so offended. Being gay is not a crime, for God’s sake. Why do people have to scream this way saying he is not? Without gays this world would be the most boring place in the universe. We have to be thankful to them. I don’t think Connie is gay but if he was, I’d see no problem at all. Gays rules and rocks. These protests are offensive to all people who aren’t straights and this is far more stupid than asking that question. I also want to say it’s fascinating to see usually men dislike him. Do I really need to say it’s pure envy? No, it’s too obvious. Finally to Michael. Your theory would be okay if Constantine was an ordinary guy. Those who need the votes from his own community. But Constantine is special. The first genuine idol to appear in that corny show. I am from Brazil and would have voted for him non stop if I lived in US. His appeal is international. That’s why he is going to Manilla right now. The reason he left is simple: He was robbed, simple as that. And, we fans, were robbed as well. Thanks for the interveiw. Keep on rocking, man.

    Ps-his fans aren’t teenagers. They are all middle aged women with too much time on their hands and fantasies of being with a younger man.

Granted you probably needed to fill in some time since Constantine doesn’t really have that much going on, but still…Not cool to dis the other Idols either.     1) I didn’t hear Constantine say anything derogatory about Scott and Anthony (although I might have!)

    2) I resent that middle-aged comment by Ellis. We buy records just like twenty or thirty somethings and I dare say, we know a lot more about music than her/him.

Just because you think that rock and roll music is the only decenct music out there (which it sucks by the way) doesn’t give you any right what so ever to bash other people. I use to think that Constantine had some class in him but I guess not anymore his fame got to his head and now he is going to lose alot of AI fans because of it. I am sorry but the whole thing about Anthony is completly rude on both of your parts, Anthony is a great singer and will do so much better then just WalMart signing and local shows he is going to be big, just wait and see. I know good music when I hear it and I myself, is a singer, and Anthony can sing. I am so highly disappointed in you the dj and Constantine.

  35. How dare that Constantine took a shot at Rock Star: INXS show saying it sucked? FYI that show is far classier than American Idol not to mention the contestants in the RS:INXS were far more talented with much better vocals than those in the AI! As for JD Fortune compared to that Constantine, JD is way hotter, full of sex appeal, A very good song writer (co-wrote “Pretty Vegas” with Andrew Farris) has better showmanship and much better voice than him, and I know he’s got a better, brighter future with with or without INXS and way more talented. He is also more good looking. I’d never been crazy about any celebrity untill I set eyes on JD Fortune and now crazy about him. He is HOT!!!

Of course the DJ is going to ask leading questions, if he didn’t the show would be boring with anyone, you have to add that humor. Although the gay question was stupid for God sakes the man oozes sex and it is not homosexual sex! As for him bashing he didn’t bash anyone and needs not come to anyones rescue he spent the whole friggin year he was shackled with American Idol to do what they wanted, now he has some freedom to speak the way he wants and I feel he still kept his class about him.
    Why can’t he have an opinion on Rock Star INXS? Don’t we? I personally loved JD and I love Constantine…why can’t we all just get along and love who we love and not bash.

    Sometimes I am just amazed at the stuff I read. I can’t get over the backlash of this stupid R&RG Show interview. I mean, are we for real here people? You know how much shit I took from all the Idols this summer with the gifts and the love I got that most of them did not get? You have no idea!! Most of them HATE me. Still I always put them first. If you go back and listen to the thousands of interviews I did this year, I always put my fellow Idols first and stick up for them in everyway. So the onetime I don’t go OUT of my way to do so I get crucified? Talk about unfair. Those Idols are my family, dig? I would do anything for them and you know it. (they know it too) You don’t know how these prick DJs are sometimes, they are very manipulative. I love the Idols and everything that American Idol gave me…trust me!!

    Cindy Margolis is a friend!!! F R I E N D !!! You know what that poor women has been thru this year tryin to have kids? Give me a break!! I was raised better than that. We are friends and that is it! She is happilly married and I know her husband well.

    Sorry if I sound upset…I am. For those of you that have loved and supported me all along (most of you) thank you from the bottom of my heart. I thank my lucky stars everyday that I have the greatest fans in the world…sometimes you just puzzle me! I AM NOT PERFECT…I AM JUST ME!! Hang in there…it’s gonna be a crazy ride!!

  43. I just played the interview. Constantine did not do anything wrong in this phone interview. He did not say anything derogatory about Anthony and Scott. And he did not say anything derogatory about the other Idols on the tour. I’m sure the Idols razed him in a humerous way about all the gifts. Constantine good luck!

  49. Michael, if we go by what Simon said on the show, then Constantine sucks. And they had millions of people voting in each show, most of whom never go on the Net. Do you really think a site that most of the population never heard of and that had only a few hundred hits a day had any impact on voting ? And did you really watch AI ? You said only Bo, Carrie and Constantine were good in that Beach Boys medley. Bo and Carrie were not even in that medley.
