Yo Michael…
As usual, the show was a good laugh! Keep rockin’ and keep entertaining your listener(s) in Thailand…!!!
Any yes: the major labels are a complete bunch of *รฦรยง=?*”=/+”* ๐
Maybe album sales did go down because there has also been so much crap coming out… that nobody in their right mind would want to buy in the first place…
Michael,
Thanks for the New York Dolls! I got a chance to see David Johansen at Southeatern Massachusetts University in the early 80’s with his band and they were great. His Live It Up album is a great album.
Michael,
love the show and I’ve bought a lot of good music because of it. I agree with you about “album” sales declining being a bunch of shite. it doesn’t take into account the THOUSANDS, if not millions like me who used to buy several “albums” a month but now buy tons of individual songs and/or downloaded albums instead.
Anyway… great show, as usual.
One bit of advice: dump the “week in rock” crap. it slows down the show and you’re usually just reading it anyway… most of us know how to read, so just link it up on the site. just play one more song instead.
thanks!
DO NOT dump The Week In Rock111
The thing that makes it so cool is, when you’re listing events, you inject your own thooughts/smark/stories about each item. You are not “just reading”. Also, The segment absolutely does not slow down the show.
If the big meanie who left the comment above doesn’t like it and wants to hear more music, he can turn on the radio instead.
G’day Michael
Thanks for mention the Podcasting Pocket Guide on the show! Glad you liked the review in it.
Cheers,
Rich
