An Interview with Greg Macainsh from Skyhooks.
This was a band I loved when I was a kid. They were huge in Australia and they are virtually unknown in the States.

niiicce. my fav feature of the RnRGS always has been and still is the interviews… keep ’em comin’ Michael and Shane!
i remember Skyhooks… not because i saw them perform live or because they got airplay in my region of northeast USA, but because from 1975-1979 i was lucky enough to land a job at a very hip record shop where it was policy to open every new album that came into stock. (and, i had a boyfriend who bought every new album that came into that store. 😀 )
think it a pretty cool trivia note that AC/DC opened for Skyhooks back in the day.
something you said, Michael, about seeing Skyhooks live and blowing Uriah Heep off the stage struck me. Uriah Heep headlined the first concert i ever attended. Manfred Mann’s Earth Band and Blue Öyster Cult opened… Uriah Heep was blown off the stage that night by BÖC.
Hello Donna,
Nice to read your comment. It is cool that you actually knew of Skyhooks. It is good to see that they did make an impression in the USA.
The guy that produced Skyhooks was Ross Wilson who is a Great Aussie songwriter like Greg Macainsh.
Have a great weekend everyone!
I missed it , downloading. Listening now
bye 🙂
